CABARET REVIEW
Originally, Cabaret is a kind of performance that materialized in France during the 19th century. Since its first emergence, several versions have been made to this wonderful performance. One of its versions is the Cabaret under Fuse production that is directed by Richard Biever. This performance is based on 1966 Kander and Ebb’s Cabaret which was named as that season’s best musical production. In addition to this, the book was written by Joe Masteroff and the Broadway production was directed by Harold Prince. One astonishing feature of this performance was the music and lyrics created by John Kander and Fred Ebb, respectively. The 1966 Cabaret story took place in a Berlin setting. Cliff Bradshaw is an American author who is writing a novel unexpectedly formed a friendship on a train with a German named Ernst Ludwig. A cheap room was recommended by Ludwig. Cliff then took this advice. At the Kit Kat Club, Cliff met Sally Bowles, an English girl working as hostess and singer at the club. Sally’s boyfriend is the club’s owner who is also a jealous one.
