Critical thinking refers to the ability to reflectively think and rationalize on the available options for a certain situation or problem. It is a significant communication skill, which together with other skills enables a person to make reasonable choices on a problem. It helps us to better understand ourselves, hence motivating our goals. Some of the importance of critical thinking is that it encourages curiosity, enhances creativity, reinforces the ability to solve problems, and fosters independence (Uribe-Enciso et al., 2017).
