Impact Of Technology In The American Workplace
America has the most dynamic and entrepreneurial workplace globally, with a high concentration of innovative companies and a strong growth capacity. This is due to the country’s leading edge in technology, which is increasing the rate at which organizations can improve their operations (Hötte et al., 2022). Emerging technology has enabled the American workplace sector to witness discoveries and improvements. Technology plays a significant role in shaping today’s American workforce. It has profoundly changed how employees work and their work quality. Nearly every industry in America is utilizing technology to increase efficiency and productivity. Technology can automate processes, allowing organizations to do more work with fewer human errors. In other words, technology has encouraged more deliberate, efficient, and collaborative communication in workplaces. This has increased decision-making because organizations use various communication tools to quickly bring employees, subordinates, and management on board (Dodel & Mesch, 2020). In the same context, technology has increased efficiency and productivity by enabling remote work. Emerging technology has allowed employees to work from home. Working from home has benefited both employers and employees. It has improved work-life balance and reduced commuting costs and other expenses.
