Anyone who has paid close attention to the mainstream of American life would agree that there are at least two major problems associated with the body weight of Americans: one is the high percentage of people with obesity; the other the phobia of overweight. In some ways, the cultural phobia of overweight is a more serious problem than the actual physical problem of the body.
For today's discussion, you are required to provide your "favorite quote" (search the web or the library or your brain) on the subject of overweight or obesity. I know that body weight can be a very sensitive issue, which is part of the cause for the phobia. One way to deal with any phobia is humor. Humor is not meant to make fun of anyone, but is, in this context, to address an sensitive issue with a light heart and a positive attitude.
