Foundations of Good Leadership
Good leadership skills are paramount for every leader to admire to have them. A leader can have interpersonal skills, administrative skills, and conceptual thinking skills. Conceptual thinking is the act of being vigilant to ideas, understanding them, and then coming up with new thoughts. I would much prefer to have all these three competencies to become a successful leader.
I will come up with a plan that develops my conceptual thinking of a leader. My first strategy is, I will use my challenges as case studies. How will I go about this? When faced with a problem as a leader, I will see it as an opportunity to analyze the situation as a case study. First, we will begin by considering how other branches within the organization will do in such a situation. (Presseisen, B. Z. 1985). Then contemplate past issues, what was done or what was not done, and then look for other connections to get to a solution. This, I know, will be of great help to me being a good leader.
