Introduction
Among the killer agents in the world for people of fifty years and below is drug abuse and overdose. The opioid is among the commonly abused drugs in the world. The abuse of opioids has hit hard the United States of America, where research shows that up to 300000 people have lost their lives to abuse opioids in recent years (Brill & Ganz, 2018). Humanities
One of the biggest problems the world is battling is addiction. People in the United States, like all other countries, are addicted to various things, and the addiction to opioids is equally high. The field of humanities plays a crucial role in dealing with addiction. Humanitarians work together with other disciplines for better solutions through brainstorming of different ideas (School of Public Health, 2018). The field of humanities plays a specific role as B.U. Center for the Humanities (2018) states. Humanities critically observe the underlying social stigma as a result of addiction. It also digs deep into the characteristics of the physical reality, which has many consequences on the treatment as well as the regulations. A personalized analysis that I did, however, concludes that there is no field in the humanities that is devoted to solving the addiction problem. It is, nonetheless, important to include researchers in...
