It is not right to cut down on housekeeping because hotels should now ensure hygiene more than ever. Although guest are concerned that cleaners visiting their rooms put them at high risk of getting the virus, proper sanitation is what will reduce the spread of the virus. What can reduce the conflict is efficiency in the cleaning protocols. If anything, then more focuses, labor, and resources should be placed on cleaning. If guests expressed complaints about room cleaning before coronavirus, then hotels need to up their standards on the same. They can put in place organized cleaning procedures that follow all the WHO precautions so that guests and house cleaners do not come in contact during the whole process.
