Crisis in the 21st century
Description of the Crisis
Due to various underlying issues, the United States (U.S.) political system or government is ineffective and fails to deliver and impact American society considerably. The ineffectiveness of the system is likely to cause detrimental effects, especially on the citizens, in case a crisis occurs. Specifically, the re-occurrence of a severer pandemic than the coronavirus is highly likely to cause more deaths and related harm than the country has ever experienced with covid-19 due to the flaws affecting the political system in the U.S. Crises such as pandemics have varying triggers, and result in different impacts on the people’s livelihoods and even resources used by these people. This is crucial proof that the administration system failed to perform its responsibilities of responding to the pandemic. Though vaccines were given, it is essential to admit the realized death records in other nations jointly. Nobody could mysteriously drive away the virus, but it is clear that since its emergence, the administration did not actively act to contain the issue, despite many resources available. The country is being served by an ineffective administration that does not consider citizens’ rights regarding the pandemic problem.
How the United States (U.S.) Government Should Address the Issue
The emergence of a pandemic would call upon the government to intervene and devise a meaningful plan to address the issue before it gets out of hand. The American citizens have a democratic right and deserve a quick, strong, and specialized response to the changing public health conditions stimulated by pandemic outbreaks. Failing to critically attempt to channel relevant efforts towards addressing the existing issues demonstrates authority weakness, which limits citizens from enjoying their rights. Any president in office should accept that the national government has an unavoidable responsibi...
