Before collecting data, all the participants should sign a consent form (Manti & Licari, 2018). The investigator will inform the subjects about the research topic, how they participate in the research, and how the data will be used. Individuals who are willing to participate will sign the consent form. The data collected will be on patients’ knowledge of diabetes and hypertension and making appropriate health decisions. The data will be obtained from diabetes and hypertension patients and high-risk groups.
In order to obtain this data, two data collection methods will be used; interviews and questionnaires. Every data collected will be evaluated to ensure that the data collected is appropriate for the study. The data collected will be kept under lock and key. According to Yıldırım & Mackie (2019), confidential data should be protected with a password. The research data on the hard drives will be password protected to ensure that unauthorized parties do not access them.
