The nineteenth century saw the rise of three thinkers; Charles Darwin, Karl Marx and Sigmund Freud. Their work was influenced by Georg Hegel’s who insisted reality should be viewed as changing, conflictual and tumultuous. Their work thoroughly disrupted the old established foundations of thinking in nearly every field like biology, religion, medicine, finance and politics. It informed the new world order and created the so called modern consciousness in explaining life and destiny. It should be noted that these theories were advanced during a period of great revolution in technology and human relations.
Darwin believed that an organism numbers remained relatively the same, despite their geometric-pace reproduction, because of a struggle for survival.
