This short essay describes the town of Braddock, located South West of Pittsburg, West of Monongahela River, and to the North of West Virginia. The town was formed after the war between General Braddock against the British around 1755. After he lost the war, he crossed the river when fatally wounded and settled at this place, which was named after him.
Braddock grew after its formation to be one of the greatest steel-producing towns of Pennsylvania. Several manufacturing companies were formed in the town, grew to almost 20000 people. Most of the inhabitants were workers in the steel and other industries that copped in the town. However, with changes in government structures, and companies choosing to expand beyond its borders, the town experienced changes that fell it.
