Argumentative Discourse Analysis deals with the various tools that have been provided for the purposes of analyzing a given set of texts. According to Smart (2017), the Argumentative Discourse Analysis was used to come up with a macro-argument that was in turn communicated to public by the Canadian scientific community. The macro-argument represented the scientific community as well as the negative actions and motives of the Canadian government towards the idea of scientific evidence. The results are a vehicle for ideological representation which is an important aspect in linguistics since it helps in identifying a course for a certain theory or conclusion.
Question: Given the complexity associated with the process of Argumentative Discourse Analysis, are there high chances that the ideas presented would be biased on certain related sets of text set for analysis?
