In the 1970s, there was a fad that indicated men and women are different with reference to the level of intelligence and performance. This was largely attributed to the hormones that each of the gender has from the time they are formed to the time they are adults and functioning human beings (Economist Intelligence Unit N.A. Incorporated, 2006). For this reason, even the toys that children were given to play with when they were young and growing would be different and reflective of these perceived differences. For the boys, they would be given toys such as fire engines and balls, while the girls would be offered tea sets and dolls to play with. These have been proven to be differences that are largely biological and true. Boys will be drawn to toys that offers opportunities for rough play, while the girls will be drawn to toys that amplify their tendencies to be nurturing. It is also established that men have larger brains that the women have. However, this is attributable to the fact that, men are generally bigger in size than the women. The structurally women brains have been found to have higher percentage of grey matter, some of the regions of their brains have also been found to have higher nerve connections and their corpus callosum is larger than in men (Economist Intelligence Unit N.A. ...
