An investigator can apply qualitative and quantitative research design to objectively, validly, economically, and accurately answer questions. Qualitative research collects, examines, and interprets data through observing, interviewing, and emphasizing group discussions. Qualitative research gives more insight into information that cannot be clarified using quantitative data (Kandel, 2020). On the other hand, quantitative research elucidates phenomena via numerical data that are examined using mathematically based approaches. Quantitative research is more scientific and acceptable because a large amount of data is collected and analyzed statistically to make it credible and influential. Therefore, when comparing qualitative and quantitative research methods, no one is superior to the other, but it depends on the type of research to be conducted.
