More importantly, both internal and external stakeholders are interested in a distinct piece of information (Team Clarizen, 2021). In addition, several types of reports highlight critical project information that needs to be incorporated into a communications management program, including progress, status, patterns, forecasting, earned value, variance, as well as lessons learned.
Several tools and resources can be employed to communicate project information. A project board is used to capture feature details and acceptance criteria and enables the project managers to facilitate discussions on individual tasks and responsibilities. A discussion board is another critical resource that provides a platform for the team to share, archived, and asynchronous conversation regarding the project. In addition, a weekly status report constitutes a formal written communication to reflect on the project progress and critical milestones periodically. Weekly status reports are delivered to all stakeholders in the project to create an understanding of project progress and present what players feel are the project risks.
Communication to C-suite should provide confidence that the project will deliver the much-desired benefits while ensuring minimal disruptions to the normal operations within the healthcare organization.
