Describe the two (2) international events involving the US military between 1990 and 2005 that you investigated that can be traced back to a foreign policy created after the Civil War.
List three (3) aspects of US history since 1865 that have led to the US's rise as a world super power policeman. (HINT: the Spanish American War, the Great White Fleet, WWI, the Roosevelt Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine, The Atom Bomb, The Cold War, NSA 68, etc)
List three to five (3-5) international incidents since World War 2 where America has taken on a policing role.
You may use any academic source but i prefer scholar.google.com. No websites are permitted and no encyclopedias. An academic source must have an author, title, publisher and date also including the specific pages used in the outline. If you put a source on your reference page it must be used in the outline. Three outside academic sources are required in addition to the text book.
Use at least three (3) academic references besides or in addition to the textbook. Note: Wikipedia and similar websites do not qualify as academic resources.
Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA format. Check for any additional instructions.
Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, your name, your professor's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.

In the past three centuries, the world has witnessed the rise and fall of several super powers. Countries like Germany, Portugal, and Spain explored the world and some stories about the likes of Vasco da Gama, Otto von Bismarck as well as Hitler are still part of the world’s history books. Aside from these countries, Britain and France also enjoyed world dominance and were at one time the two major superpowers. However, like the rest France found itself lagging behind Britain and this left Britain as the sole superpower. Unlike the rest, Britain’s tenure was not short-lived, but it also came to an end in an untimely fashion. There being a vacuum meant that someone had to rise up and take up the mantle of being the world’s superpower. This happened after the Second World War, and the US’s rise and prominence felt assured, but the Soviet Union had other plans. However, with carefully conjured plans integrated into some policies that were created after the Civil War, the US managed to become the sole policeman of the world. Its involvement in, for example, the Great White Fleet, the Cold War, as well as the atomic bomb are only some of the good indications of why the US is the policeman of the world.
