The main aspects I like include the transformative nature of the city regardless of the past activities, such as the increased unhygienic nature. Muggleton (2016a) changes the tone from a highly filthy city to a more appealing city in the United States. At the start of the documentary, one can have a poor picture of New York City. However, due to the industrial revolution, the city emerges to be one of the most appealing in the world. The second aspect that I liked was the extreme increase in the population. It is interesting since a highly filthy city records a higher population growth in the world within 100 years. The growth shows the power of the industrial revolution.
The central aspect which would have been better is to regulate the immigration in the city regardless of its transformation from a filthy to an industrial and richest city globally.
