Taunted among the strongest dynasties in the early 1200s going to 1400s, the decline of the once stable China dynasty came as a surprise to many. There are multiple factors that largely contributed to the collapse of the kingdom. In his book, The Man Awakened from Dreams, Henrietta Harrison discusses some of the main causes of decline of the empire. This paper examines the causes as denoted by the author.
During the Ming Dynasty, trouble began looming in the Chinese empire. The King at the time was unwilling to comply with the norm of collaborative trade ties with neighboring kingdoms (Hanrietta, 2012).
