One of the things I learned is that obesity and being overweight is a growing problem in the United States. A healthy weight level is BMI (18.5 to 24.9), and among overweight and obese people, there is excessive body weight. The risk factors for obesity and being overweight include type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, hypertension, high LDL (“bad”) cholesterol, stroke, and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
