Uncompensated Care and Safety-Net Hospitals
Uncompensated care entails services that safety-net hospitals offer to individuals without reimbursement. For example, numerous unemployed and low-income people do not have health insurance coverage and are unable to pay for the medical services they receive at hospitals.
