The Transition from a Clinical Nurse to Nurse Education
After watching the video, I have learned that nurses are caregivers. Their primary role in any health care facility is to prevent illnesses, facilitate healing among patients, advocate for the care of groups, communities, and populations, and protect those individuals who optimize health in society. It is important to note that nurses enable patients to manage their physical needs in the hospital and treat different health conditions. For nurses to do this and attain maximum success in their career, they must observe and monitor patients and record any relevant information to help make decisions and treatment. Nurses must be ready to listen to patients so that they will treat their illnesses with keenness.
Another important issue I have learned from the training module is the issue of transition from a clinical nurse to nurse education. This is an important subject that should be examined because teaching is rewarding. For those nurses who have a passion for sharing their clinical expertise with other nurses, the transition from a nurse to a nurse educator would help them achieve this goal (Lucatorto, Thomas & Siek, 2016). By transitioning to a nurse educator, nurses have the opportunity to influence the success of learners, advise earners, shape and equip the generation of next nurses and engage nurses in innovating teaching-learning processes.
The issue of popularity in nursing was also interesting. This topic captured my attention because I wanted to understand why it is wrong for a nurse to be famous. Being popular is critical for teachers, but I think popularity should be guided by appropriate professional behavior. For example, the main objective of a nurse becoming popular should be ...
