Electronic health records (EHRs) offer more enhanced care coordination and ensure health care quality at my workplace. This has positively affected patient care at my workplace, mainly when conducting diagnoses. Diagnosis needs to be anchored on efficient procedures for data sharing, interpretation, and integration. During diagnosis, patient information is shared and communicated effectively via EHRs systems to avoid medical errors and enhance the quality of care delivered to our clients (Quinn et al., 2019). In addition, the EHRs system enhanced care coordination by improving communication between patients and me, which enhanced efficiency and promoted positive patient experiences – medical outcomes related to better healthcare quality. The EHRs empowered me to create timely and accurate explanations about a patient’s medical problem to reflect the patient-centered care framework (Quinn et al., 2019). In that way, patients received safe and high-quality care, leading to enhanced satisfaction. Furthermore, I scheduled systems and integrated portals, thus lowering patient’s waiting times, which enhanced their satisfaction with the hospital’s services.
