Based on research and work experience, healthcare is a right. The World Health Organization (WHO) notes that every person is entitled to enjoy the optimal attainable health standard without distinction of social or economic condition, political belief, religion, or race. Every person is inherently entitled to access health care services they require, where and when they need them, without incurring financial costs or hardships (World Health Organization, 2017). Health care is a right because no human being should get ill, suffer, and lose their life simply because they are economically disadvantaged or unable to access the medical care they require.
