MR Akkad has a musculoskeletal and neurological disorder for two years, according to the details of his elder son. Mr. Akkad had the following symptoms change of personality because he started losing interest in all religious activities (Cryan et al, 2020). He had become more critical to all the family members. Forgetting thing has to be a problem for Mr. Akkad for around two years. Difficulties in speaking, like finding the right thing during the conversation, are challenges for Mr. Akkad since he usually shifts to a very different line when talking.
I think treating a person with symptoms like those of Mr. Akkad with therapy will help him start remembering things and medication to minimize or control the condition from worsening. This does not only happen to patients with such conditions but it cuts across the patients with different clinical conditions and they all need proper medical care and attention from medical practitioners who are trained specifically for that condition.
According to all the diagnoses performed, I think Mr. Akkad had moderate dementia because he could score 18 over 30 in the min-mental exam. He has major neurocognitive because of Alzheimer's disease. The diagnosis shows poor contact, unclear speech, usual motor movements, and euthymic moods (Cryan et al, 2020). All these symptoms represent a high probability of having Alzheimer's disease and major neurocognitive. Moderate dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and major neurocognitive symptoms will impact the patient's treatment since he has to get all the medication to reduce or minimize the effects of the conditions.
