Leader sought to inspire the followers lead by example, while providing feedback for the people to understand what is required of them (Wheeler, 2012). Feedback from the colleagues will help me grow as leaders, as I will be better placed to offer assistance and achieve common goals. I hope to learn more about myself and others to have more impact and be an agent of change. Effective leaders are good listeners who can communicate and create cooperative relationships. Additionally, leaders make decisions continuously and it is necessary to accomplish tasks, while supporting professional development efforts forcolleagues, followers and the leader. As a leader motivating followers supports their efforts, and it is necessary to adapt to different situations when in leadership positions.
Vision
In 3 to 5 years time, I hope to build up others as a leader who can make positive change in the local community/ organization. Identifying opportunities where people can meet and share their experiences will be crucial to building a positive rapport with the community. Events and meetings will also provide opportunities to highlight responsibilities, while reminding individuals that they are valuable to achieve common goals. Both personal and professional growth is an important aspects in life, and as an educator, I will conduct a training needs assessment to ensure. I want to be in a position of influence where I will make decisions that impact the community, especially learners and trainees. In my efforts to influence change I will rely more on persuasion while building consensus among various groups.
