Summary of Six articles on Resolving Shortage of Nurse
The nursing shortage is a global problem in healthcare. Most countries report a shortage, maldistributions, and misutilization of nurses (Dotson, Dave, & Cazier, 2012). Haryanto (2019) shares similar sentiment that the current nursing shortage is not a hesitation for employers to hire nurses because when the root causes of the root shortage are examined, it is the reality that the present-day nursing shortage is not a myth. This paper is a summary representation of qualitative evaluation of some strengths and weaknesses of articles or studies that can be used to build arguments on the shortage of nurses.

It is a peer-reviewed study, which means that its arguments and evidence on the shortage of nurses have been subjected to scholarly scrutiny and found to meet
academic and scientific quality.

This article is a systematic meta-analysis; hence, it is prone to bias risks that originate in primary studies in terms of methodological limitation of primary studies (Greco et al.,2013). It is equally challenging to combine different studies that may have variations in terms of populations, interventions, the definition of terms, and comparators.

It is a meta-analysis study, which means that it has a high level of evidence.
Meta-analysis provides a way of critical evaluation and statistically combines findings of comparable studies or trials to increase observations and statistical power and demonstrate a more robust association effect. Meta-analysis is a an effective tool to aggregating and summarizing the knowledge and to identify the net measure of a treatment’s outcome by combining several conclusions (Greco et al.,2013).
