Nurses have a critical role in the provision of comprehensive patient care. They are the main acts that streamline patient care by adhering to health care standards and needs. In future, technological will have advanced to a greater level than presently, which means that premises like Internet of Things (IoT) and big data will enhance nursing care (Lupton, 2017). It is, therefore, the nurses’ duty to adapt to these changes to ensure that they revolutionize their professionalism to produce a modernized approach. The consumption and digestion of information by nurses must have an efficient technological input that can facilitate easy learning. The rationale is that nurses serve as educators to the community, workmates and patients in the health care facilities (Lupton, 2017). Using IoT, big data and other technological tools will enhance this process and provide the nurses with the optimal conditions to become more professional and knowledgeable to their audience’s health care benefits.
