Regulatory Agencies and Accrediting Bodies: OSHA
The agency selected is OSHA or the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. OSHA was established during the Richard Nixon tenure and ratified in 1971. It serves under the U.S. Department of Labor as a watchdog for employees all over the United States. The organization or agency mainly seeks to ensure that employees are given conducive working conditions. The agency seeks to ensure that the health and safety of employees are not infringed in any way. Therefore, it sets up mechanisms and rules that have to be adhered to by all organizations.
Before this agency was set up, employers were exploiting their employees and pushing for higher profitability at their employees' expense. Therefore, there was a need for a regulatory agency that would curtail such behavior and ensure that the rights of the workers are not infringed. Since its inception, OSHA has worked with many agencies and employees to enhance safety in the workplace. The agency has partnered with unions to champion the rights of employees on numerous occasions. As a result of these partnerships, OSHA reports that "fatality and injury rates have dropped markedly" (OSHA). Workers are no longer invisible, and their cries are being answered. The OSHA ACT has helped to give employees a voice, and many are speaking out.
OSHA's reason for existence is showcased in the agency's mission statement. The agency's mission statement reads: "To ensure safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education, and assistance" (OSHA). The agency works diligently to ensure that working conditions enhance the health and safety of employees. It recognizes that employees are human beings like their employers and thus deserve protection from the workplace's dangers.
Summarize the agency's public reporting of quality indicators

These indicators help ensure that injuries, illnesses, and fatalities within the workplaces are prevented, reduced, or eradicated for OSHA. These indicators also help paint a clearer picture of the improvements or lack thereof in the employment sector. According to OSHA, reporting on these indicators has several advantages, including preventing future illnesses and injuries in the workplace and reducing costs associated with injuries, fatalities, and illnesses. Also, OSHA believes that these indicators will help enhance an organization's productivity and performance while optimizing workers' health and safety. As a result of the above, employers could easily get enhanced worker participation because of their show of support and care for their employees. This will be reciprocated in the form of enhanced productivity and performance.
OSHA reports on these leading indicators every year. As already indicated, the agency believes that the more the publication or reporting, the higher the likelihood that the problems leading to the said problems will be identified and rectified. Therefore, the agency reports...
