Introduction
One of the primary objectives of health care is increasing the longevity, social, physical, and psychological well-being of individuals, community and the society at large. In achieving these goals, there is a need of developing an optimal healthcare system that provides a room for improvement within different states (Manski, Hoffmann, & Rowthorn, 2015). In consideration of the present and past state of affairs within the healthcare industry, the element of healthcare reimbursement has the capacity to make reforms within this industry in the future. The reimbursement systems that is primarily based on a free-for-all-service will disappear and a different model that will have the capacity to manage patient diseases and conditions take over. This paper therefore seeks to establish some of the areas of provision and reimbursement of health care services that have undergone a considerable change over the past years.

1 Technology and Telemedicine
It is essential to consider that medical advancement as a result of technology and research development has had a dramatic impact within our health institution. Innovation has in this case shifted the manner in which health care services are provided for example the surgeries that have turned as minimally invasive. On the other hand, therapies have also shifted from their late-stage treatment through an early treatment and prevention (Gordon, Kerpen, & Nash, 2013). As a result of technology, our healthcare institution has been in a position to experience monetary savings. For instance, within the medical unit, there are intraocular lenses including other related medical technologies that aid in cataract surgeries. These technologies have been determined to return close to $90,000 per patient within a single year, a factor that has restored clear vision and independent living among the patients.
On the other hand, telemedicine technologies have also evolved a factor that has helped eradicate the traditional medical situations that failed to capture and share patient information. Some of the benefits that our health institutions have achieved include the accuracies in the delivery of patient information between the remote provider and the exam site in a real time (August, Steinmetz, Gavin, Rivera, Pazol, Moskosky, & Ku, 2016). Clinical telemedicine technology application within our health care institution in this case uses transit images, sound and date in storing forwarding transitional information. However, it is also vital to consider that the use of these technologies within the medical facility has its limitations since they are more costly.
