When referring the allergic reactions, anaphylactic shock is one of the most extreme, especially when considering the rate of progression (Weatherspoon, 2017). It is believed to be brought about by the activation of the mast cells along with the basophils. This is a mechanism that is basically associated with the crosslinking of the immunoglobulin along with the aggregation of the high affinity receptors for immunoglobulin of the high affinity receptors. When activated, the mast cells and/or basophils they quickly release mediators that are preformed from the secretory granules, flooding the system with typtase, histamine, proteoglycans and carboxypeptidase A. Populous A2; which is followed by the activation of the cyclooxygenases along with the lipoxygenases(Peavy& Metcalfe, 2008). This further leads to the release of the acid metabolites such as the platelets activation factor, leukotrienes and the prostaglandins. It is the release of the mediators that is believed to be the cause for anaphylaxis(Peavy& Metcalfe, 2008).
