The process of curriculum development systematically organizes the concepts to be taught, who will acquire that knowledge, and the methods or strategies used to teach learners. These components interact and affect each other. The distinctive phases of curriculum development include planning, methods and contents, implementation, and reporting and evaluation (Fao.org, n.d.). The planning stage entails conducting the needs analysis and assessment. The contents and methods phase highlight what will be taught and the activities involved. The implementation stage involves finding relevant materials, testing, and revising the curriculum when the need arises. The last phase entails evaluating and reporting whether the learning objectives have been achieved or not.
