PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY IN NURSING
This paper aims to describe my personal beliefs and values and how they relate to my nursing career. Nursing is a career that is guided by various values and ethics; thus, not everybody can be a nurse. My definition of nursing is “ the desire to help and care for those in need, mostly the sick people, family, and the community at large.” As a nurse, I have the role of protecting, promoting, preventing illness and injury, facilitating healing, alleviating suffering through correct diagnosis and treatment, and lastly, advocating for proper care for individuals, families, and the community (Kim, 2015).
