Telehealth is a promising technology that aims at dealing with some barriers to access to care, such as distance. Albeit the many benefits associated with telehealth, the adoption of this technology has been slow. I agree that there are several challenges that have caused the slow adoption and have become an issue in telehealth. For example, this technology is highly reliant on remote access and at times, poor network coverage affects the delivery of healthcare services to patients. I also agree that telehealth is beneficial to the healthcare system. For instance, Dinesen, et al. (2016) indicates that telehealth is not only enhancing the provision of care to diverse populations, but it is also providing an educational platform for patients, where they receive customized advice and suggestions for health improvement.
