Introduction
In recent years, bioethics has played an important part in policy changes and legislation and guided medical practitioners on clinical decision-making and medical technology improvements. The major and minor ethical choices are used in confronting people by providing healthcare to people with living diverse values in a multicultural society. Its guidelines have to consider the religious and non-religious people across different cultures.
Bioethics has frequently been criticized for placing the idea of autonomy above all other principles or values, particularly when it comes to bioethics in the United States. The four principles are respect for autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice (Rus, 2021). Non-maleficence, in my opinion, is of the utmost importance since no one should damage another individual (Sivaraman, 2019). After that, I'd say beneficence since it's important to avoid causing damage to others. In terms of fairness, justice would be the third most important factor. Because without the other three, no one would respect anyone's autonomy, autonomy would be the last. Beneficence, non-maleficence, autonomy, and justice would be the order of importance in the Christian story.
