Physicians, healthcare professionals, and personnel do not always have access to the population in all nations. Therefore, Directly Observed Therapy (DOT) is a treatment in the TB program that started in 1997. In 2015, the program assisted about 9500 individuals diagnosed with TB in the United States (Onwubiko, Wall, Sales, & Holland, 2019). Through the program, a group of medical personnel are assigned to a particular site for data collection and treatment of individuals. Through the data collected, the patients can be registered as individuals who are suffering from the disease. When the patients are unable to come and take their medication, the medical personnel are able to visit their homes to establish the reasons behind their failure to take their medicine. The outcomes on the people are always favorable. The medical officers utilize their skills and knowledge to ensure that a person is healthy (Onwubiko, Wall, Sales, & Holland, 2019). On the other hand, the patients are able to understand their health condition and follow the criteria to succeed in a program.At what point in program implementation was the program or policy evaluation conducted?The policy evaluation was conducted during the initial stages and at the end of the program. This was to understand the processes applied and the proposed incentives intended to enhance care outcomes for TB patients. Through the evaluation, the program managers were able to highlight the benefits, existing gaps, and areas of improvement to enhance outcomes for the DOT.What data was used to conduct the program or policy evaluation?The data used to conduct the program or evaluate the policy was based on the impact on registered individuals.
