Health Informatics
Answer 1
Health informatics refers to the use of technology in organizing and analyzing data in the medical field to improve healthcare services. The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) understood that without addressing its informatics challenges, it would fail in its primary objective of fostering patient care in the community. One of the best practices that SNHD used to overcome its informatics problem was to facilitate effective communication between healthcare providers and public health (Magnuson & Fu, 2013). Additionally, specialists in health informatics must possess personal experience and skills in interacting with the public and collecting unbiased data (Wholey et al., 2018). For this reason, they should be excellent communicators to ensure that they get the information they want from the public.
