Although I have had several incidents that could be deemed positive due to individuals’ medical literacy, I have had one major negative experience. The issue involves my grandfather, who lived in Italy when he was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. He had been fine until he began to experience various types of pain, which prompted him to seek medical attention. The cancer has also spread to other parts of the body, making it too big for any form of treatment to work. My grandfather feared this would affect his quality of life and asked for euthanasia.
