In an organization, such as a health facility, a stakeholder is a member or group without whose support the organization would cease to exist. Stakeholders have an interest in the project’s outcomes of a particular organization in which they are members. Stakeholders can be divided into two, that is internal stakeholders and external stakeholders. In a health setting, the internal stakeholders may include doctors, nurses, financial officers, and other hospital staff. On the other end, external stakeholders of a health setting may include patients, suppliers, competitors, government, and groups with special interests. All these stakeholders affect the triumph of a change proposal project in a health care centre. These stakeholders may affect the prosperity of the change proposal in different ways, which is going to be discussed below.
Ways Stakeholders Affect Change Proposal
In this case, the internal stakeholders play a very important role in the change proposal project as they are always and most of the time within the health care facility or organization. Internal stakeholders provide their knowledge and skills to the change proposal project. Skills and knowledge are very important in the implementation of any change proposal project in any organization. This is because the knowledge helps in understanding the change proposal project while the skills assist in bringing the change proposal project into reality. Also, the internal stakeholders help in providing the appropriate leadership in the organization to allow for the change proposal project in the health care facility.
In the health care organization, the internal stakeholders such as the nurses are known to be the primary care providers, and they have a very important role in translating the change proposal project into reality and actual practice while providing care to the patients.
