Seemingly, the patient is experiencing a distressful situation. It is confirmed by her sad mood while speaking. She states that she does not need any help from the counselor and refuses to unveil her details. According to her reactions, she has been involved in the situation of recent, as read from her sharp reactions, which implies that she is experiencing a piercing effect of the situation. Truly, she is suffering from a depressive disorder. American Psychiatric Association (2013) describes patients of depressive disorders always possess unfriendly reactions against counselors. Therefore, possesses characteristics of people suffering from a depressive disorder, resulting from over-focusing on stressful thoughts.

Indeed, this requires a counselor to address the thought patterns that are stressful to the victim. Since mental disorders mainly emanates from stressful thoughts, a counselor needs to handle the patient with much care to eliminate these thoughts (Cave, 2012). For that reason, I would gradually approach the patient until the time she begin disclosing the real facts behind her situation.
Psychotropic Medications
Depressive situations usually lead to abnormal body functioning. For that reason, physicians have made a medication that immediately relieves one from such disorders. The instant drug to curb mental disorder is Amitriptyline, which is taken orally and has quicker effect, which relieves one from a mental disorder. World Health Organization (2009), as well recommends that the medicine above is sufficient to cure depressive disorders.
Expected Outcome
In counseling, experts always use a cognitive approach as a way of handling patients' issues. It begins by understanding the root cause of the clients' problems and advising them accordingly. In most cases, mental disorders attribute to negative thoughts in the mind of a patient. As such, a counselor needs to eliminate such thoughts so that the patient remains without and troubling thoughts. Upon doing that, ...
