One benefit of hormone therapy (HT) is that systematic estrogen assists in alleviating conditions such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness, bone loss, and night sweats whether used with estrogen or without progestogen. This improves sleep patterns, sexual relations, and also the quality of life. The other benefit is that low-dose vaginal preparations of estrogen effectively treat vaginal symptoms and even some urinary problems with minimal absorption in the body (Prentice et al., 2009).
