As your EBP skills grow, you may be called upon to share your expertise with others. While EBP practice is often conducted with unique outcomes in mind, EBP practitioners who share their results can both add to the general body of knowledge and serve as an advocate for the application of EBP.
In this Discussion, you will explore strategies for disseminating EBP within your organization, community, or industry.
To Prepare:
Review the Resources and reflect on the various strategies presented throughout the course that may be helpful in disseminating effective and widely cited EBP.
This may include: unit-level or organizational-level presentations, poster presentations, and podium presentations at organizational, local, regional, state, and national levels, as well as publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Reflect on which type of dissemination strategy you might use to communicate EBP.

Developing a Culture of Evidence-Based Practice
The Evidence-Based Practice is a nursing practice that has not been widely implemented for real-world treatment because of administrative, funding, and existing laws, among other reasons (O'Hare, 2020). This is despite EBP being available for conditions like diabetes, asthma, and heart conditions. These conditions depended on traditional means to analyze data to identify patients' safety issues for a long time. Yet, less effort has been directed toward implementing the practices. EBP uses the current evidence in collaboration with patient values and clinical expertise to guide decisions in healthcare. Research evidence, clinical expertise, and research evidence should always guide practice where enough research evidence exists. Communication is critical in disseminating EBP practice (Schipper et al., 2015). Several strategies exist for sharing effective EBP in my organization, including making manuals and guidelines, educating staff on skills and principles, targeted messaging, and improving organizational dynamics.
I would be most inclined to use would be making manuals and guidelines and targeted messaging. Making manuals and guidelines is the best strategy for me. It is an organizational level strategy that ensures that everyone is at par (Melnyk, 2012). EBP needs to be as straight as possible. Manuals and guidelines help to simplify complex health issues and scenarios, including doing translations. It means that manuals have high eye affinity, and a medical practitioner will quickly understand the treatment rationale and implement the treatment technology accordingly.
Most importantly, using manuals and guidelines is cheap, and no need to hire a professional to implement the program. However, operating procedures and manuals are time-consuming.
