When it comes to setting up a hospital-based committee, we come across a lot of challenges, such as the absence of accountability, ineffective leadership and absence of purpose. It has been observed that most of the hospital-based committees allocate insufficient time to their members to accomplish certain tasks, and sometimes meetings are not held on a regular basis. In such circumstances, it won't be possible for the manager or head to fulfill the demands of the healthcare industry (Wenger, 2002).
Why are committees advantageous for health care organizations?
It should be noted that a committee or task force is one of the major and most significant parts of a healthcare center. The committee members collect information about different patients and employees, analyze and evaluate data, and work hard to solve all complex problems. Belonging to different values, backgrounds, abilities, and viewpoints, they tend to be problem-solvers. Furthermore, they motivate others to work hard.
