When it comes to nursing, there are a number of issues that often act as bottlenecks in ensuring efficiency. Staffing is one of the problems facing the health facility. Staffing refers to the process which involves hiring competent and qualified candidates in the health facility or organization. It refers finding the right candidate for a particular job in the health facility. Getting individuals with the right skillsets for the respective tasks is quite important when it comes to the staffing process. In this organization, there has been a problem when it comes to hiring of nurses (nursing staffing) in this health facility. This problem is attributed to several issues in the organization and in the country, United States.
Just like in many other countries, there has been a shortage of nurses in the United States, mainly due to the fact that most of the nurses are aging and hence retiring from their specific jobs. Therefore, the problem of staffing has not only been in the organization but also in other health facilities. There has been a problem of recruiting nurses in the organization as only few qualified people are coming out the various institutions with the appropriate skills. The government has been reluctant in providing training towards improving the nursing profession (Parker, 2017). This has made many students to be reluctant in taking the nursing profession leaving the health facilities with few nurses hence the problem.
