I watched Dr. Gamache's Video commentary stated about the French. A few years ago, my daughter took a French class. She learned and decided to share the similarity between French and English with me. I always wanted to take French Sign Language and French Writing, and I do not know which college does provide French sign language effectively. Does any school provide FSL? If there has one, I will go for it.
Surrogate is an interesting topic I have never come across. I always thought personification was the only one that applied role shifting, depiction (CL), and token, but I guess I'm wrong. I realized that Surrogate is only applied to all. Despite not teaching the students, I understand key signs individuals use with their multiple roles. For example, in Laurene Simms's video "Teacher: Making a Difference," she talked about the little boy and how she uses surrogates. I analyzed some model signer the student show has surrogates. I want to ensure all students understand how the surrogate sign language applies to the three pillars. I believe it is a better opportunity to learn.
Additionally, I read LLD about Standardized American English and realized dialects are not standardized. My grandma and great aunt have a strong accent in Welsh and Norwegian. However, my father has struggled to speak and write them because of looks up to his mother and aunt speak Welsh/Norwegian languages. I watched Dr. Gamache’s video explaining the two persons who have a different perspective of their English; one person who writes English has few errors while the other indicates many errors. It shows that there are many English types we use. I admitted that my English was not great after watching the video. Some people criticize me, and some do not, depending on their opinions.
