Professional Philosophy Statement
Early childhood education refers to the period when a child is born to when they qualify to join kindergarten. Here, children gain classroom insight and learn socialization skills, problem-solving skills, and creativity (Alharbi & Alzahrani, 2020). A solid partnership is created between the child, the parents, and the teacher. When early childhood education is done effectively, a solid base is created for the child to continue with the next level in education.
Just like children are a reflection of their parents, students are a reflection of their teachers. Students, especially in early childhood education, usually copy everything about their teacher, including how they behave, talk, and act (Alharbi & Alzahrani, 2020). To be an effective teacher, I believe they should possess values and beliefs to promote success in teaching and learning. One of my values is integrity. I always make sure that I fulfill my commitment to my role and maintain honesty at all times. I also value a sense of urgency, where I work daily to ensure that I meet my daily objectives and fulfill my lesson plans. It is difficult to meet deadlines, especially in early childhood education, since some students will need time to better grasp a particular concept. One of my most accepted beliefs is that I am always in a state of continuous learning. I believe that my life does not always revolve around teaching and assessing growth. I am always learning new concepts every day as the world continues to advance in technology.
