The small groups provide ample language practice opportunities through the back and forth discussions and genuine conversations, thereby improving the students' quality of spoken language (Goodwin & Jiménez, 2016, pp. 622-623).How can you integrate a read-aloud lesson and content-based learning in your lesson design?I would integrate content-based learning into my lesson design by first identifying an exciting topic for students to learn, for example, a famous pop music star. Next, identify several websites and videos on the subject that the students can watch and visit for more information. I would then organize them into groups where they would watch the video and research about the star, then present their findings in English to each other (García et al., 2021, pp. 360-364). By learning about the pop star in English, they get to learn and practice their language comprehension.
