Learning Theories and Teaching Styles – Week 2
In the text by Carey (2014), Chapter 1: The Story Maker is about the biology of memory and the workings of the human brain, while Chapter 2: The Power of Forgetting focuses on a new theory of learning. After reading the two chapters, the most surprising fact that I have discovered is in regards to forgetting. In my life generally, I cannot recall the exact movies that I watched three weeks ago, the last book that I read, the name of drugstore from where I purchased some drugs five days ago, or even the phone number of my sister. Besides, I have misplaced my house keys quite a few times, and sometimes I find myself absent-minded. I tend to forget things all the time.
