Images, Illustrations, and Video Use on Google Classroom
Visual aids in the form of illustrations, videos, or images promote active learning among students. Incorporating media in learning complements the traditional methods of teaching, such as descriptions and notes. Using illustrations brings out the relevance of concepts, helps the students remember what they learned, arouses interest, and engages them. In the Google classroom set-up, visual aids help learners to remain motivated and engaged. 
Learning can be significantly enhanced by the use of images that relate to the concept learned. For instance, teachers can use educational charts and graphs to present data easily. Charts and graphs make it easier to compare and interpret data (Bowman, 2018). Reading through such information would otherwise be tedious, making it even harder to understand. The images can also serve as a reference point for students in the future.
The creative presentation captures the students' attention and keeps them engaged. Using different colors and fonts in slides or short videos would spark interest in learners who would then fully participate in the learning process (Mayer, 2019). Special needs children with autism benefit from creative presentations as they find it hard to engage in the traditional classroom setting. Students who find some subjects uninteresting may lack the motivation to put in the required efforts. Using captivating images and engaging videos can drive motivation in learners helping to eliminate boredom and perform better.
Using illustrations and images to teach can improve classroom success by boosting the understanding of a topic. For instance, students' math performance is improved by incorporating visual elements to which the students can relate. Showing students the location of a place would help them visualize and build an image instead of just listening to the teacher describe it. 
Visual aids help students to grasp large amounts of information quickly. Images and illustrations help students to relate different pieces of information faster than reading through notes. Learners can understand and interpret vast chunks of content and remember it as well (Bowman, 2018). Teachers should ensure that all learners interpret the information correctly, as people may interpret the same image differently.
