Empowered is a dimensional factor which is applied in different perspectives and approaches depending on the type of the field. All in all the concept is similar, and it engages several factors. The factors are such as power. The power given to someone about making decisions for themselves and in the right manner as required in a specific field. The difference comes in in the different levels of the power. Empowerment demands for the power to change and expand thus it is referred to as a process. Another factor which comprises of the concept of empowerment is the level of empowerment demanded. The level of empowerment is differentiated by psychological, organizational and community level of empowerment.
Depending on the type of the empowerment then the level of the empowerment is considerate of these categories. Empowerment has a different meaning as per each context and also levels differs with the demand within the society or individual. The levels are closely linked thus they are interdependent.
Empowerment is realized as a process or an outcome. It is identified after a certain period of one undergoing a certain mentorship. Comparing the situation on the capability of the individual from the past and in the present then the empowerment can be realized. Empowerment involves moving from one step to the other level of power and specializing in a specified sector activities. It is referred to as a concept as it involves acquisition of knowledge from one step to the other (Bernstein, et al., 2008).
