Dear parents and guardians,
Welcome to the new academic year. Having your child in my class gives me the joy of teaching. My name is Jennel Harrisons, and I am so excited to start my Math lessons with grade 3 in Heroes Elementary School. I assure you of a fun, educative, and safe learning environment for your children.
I have been teaching mathematics for the past eight years since acquiring my Education Undergraduate degree. I am currently undertaking my Masters in Pure Mathematics to improve my skills to ensure I give the best to your students. It gives me a lot of pride to be part of the knowledge-impacting process in the United States of America.
I am looking forward to sharing my academic skills and imparting moral and social values to the children. To support my teaching philosophy statement “ensuring students’ learn through curiosity and choice," I will make the class as participative as possible.
The longer time you have with the students makes you know them more than any other person. For this reason, our total collaboration with me will help ensure tracking of the student's academic tracking and easy identification of areas that need improvement. To ensure the parents' involvement, communication is significant. First, the use of direct calls and emails will be the main communication tool. In case of any inquiries about the child, you are free to call during working hours. The class website will also be significant in homework and meeting reminders and announcement posting.
